At BSB, our Teachers Provide a Premium Education in Bucharest

The British School of Bucharest is the first British School in Romania recognised by the UK Government, and only international private school in Romania with 100% native English-speaking teachers.

Providing a premium education in Bucharest, all the BSB teachers have graduated from respected universities, many have higher degrees, and the majority have significant teaching experience. Six teachers are graduates from Oxford and Cambridge, including our Headmaster, Philip Walters, who is a graduate of the University of Cambridge; having studied Geography at Christ's College.

We have a healthy mix of younger teachers alongside those with many years of experience, and we provide continuous professional development training for all of them. All our teachers have experience in delivering the National Curriculum for England.

Although a professional approach is expected at all times, the strong community spirit at the British School of Bucharest and the positive teacher-to-pupil ratio, allows teachers and their pupils to form strong bonds, making honest and open dialogue easier for all.

BSB teachers are committed to ensuring all pupils receive a premium education in Bucharest. They are professional, well-trained, and genuinely proud of both the school and their pupils' achievements.
