Private Music Lessons

Private Music Lessons Enhance a Premium British Education

“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” Victor Hugo

At the British School of Bucharest, we seek to provide every student with the opportunity to progress to reach their full potential.

In addition to classroom Music studies and many interesting co-curricular Music activities, we provide opportunities to enhance the premium British education students receive. One of these opportunities is through Individual Musical Instrument Lessons, which are available at school as an optional extra. These lessons are ‘one on one’ and enable the teacher to work with the specific interests and needs of the pupil. The usual pattern is one or two 30-minute lessons each week supported by daily individual practice, which the pupil does independently at home under parental supervision.

Private Music Lessons are taught by Music Department staff and visiting teachers. We currently offer lessons in piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, violin, violoncello, double bass, trumpet, euphonium, trombone and drum kit. Lessons in Music Theory and Sound Mixing are also available.

Register for Individual Musical Instrument Lessons

We encourage interested parents to contact the school office for full details and request the current registration letter for Individual Musical Instrument Lessons. Registration is normally at the beginning of each term.

Rent an instrument

If your child would like to have lessons but does not have an instrument, please contact the Music Department for information about rentals.
